Lepak Diplomasi Series 16 — Türkiye
Lepak Diplomasi Series 13 — Kazakhstan

Why “Lepak”

Lepak is Malay for hanging out: an unhurried, informal way of being together. We borrow the word for the format.

A quieter form of dialogue.

A monthly series inviting foreign diplomats accredited to Malaysia to spend an evening with the Malaysian public. The standing theme is Your Key to the World.

i.

Direct Engagement

Conversation between foreign diplomats and members of the Malaysian public, in a setting that invites questions the press conference does not.

ii.

Cultural Insight

Each session focuses on one participating country, covering its history, economy and current affairs.

iii.

Professional Network

A standing room for emerging leaders, students and working professionals to meet diplomats and one another.

Lorong
Diplomasi.

An immersion programme for international students living in Malaysia, taking them into the country's everyday culture, communities and history.

Not a cultural tour. A programme built on interactive learning and grassroots diplomacy.
  1. i.

    Grassroots Connection

Students meet Malaysian communities directly: kampungs, markets, religious sites, civil-society groups.

  2. ii.

    Student Ambassadors

Participants leave with a working knowledge of Malaysia they can share when they return home.

  3. iii.

    Practical Learning

Field activities outside the classroom: heritage visits, cooking, language exchange, day trips.

  4. iv.

    Intimate Cohorts

Sessions are capped at around twenty participants, so each one stays personal.

Jelajah
Diplomasi.
